Bridal Shower

Whether it's a bridal shower or a baby shower, showers are so fun, especially when you get to host one! I love everything about it. I love making the invitations, making decorations, cooking yummy treats, and just putting it all together. Congrats Lisa!
Ever since my friend Andrea helped me realize the difference between good and bad fonts, I have become obsessed with fonts and I like to use different ones whenever I can. You'd be surprised how many people use ugly fonts, I can't stand it! I don't know if she helped me or cursed me because now I notice all of the horrible fonts out there! Thanks Andrea!:)

I came back to Salt Lake to give Lisa her shower. It was fun to be back even though it was only for a day!

Thanks to Pinterest, I found an idea for her gift.

Hello Kitty cake pops

My little sister loves Hello Kitty and the one request she had for her birthday was for me to make her some cake pops. Out of all of the cake pops I have ever made, I think these are my most favorite! I was actually surprised at how good they turned out.
The edible marker kinda smears...so just ignore that!:)

I wish I could say that I came up with this idea myself, but I found these cute pops on Bakerella.

Easter cupcake pops

Cupcake pops are so fun to make but I don't make them very often because they aren't the most healthy thing.:) I usually make them for holidays or birthdays so I can give them away. Here are some easter ones that I made:

I also, recently made some Hello Kitty pops for my sisters birthday. I'll post those soon! Hope you all have a great Easter!

Valentine's Day!

I hate February because it's freezing and ugly outside and I am always broke from Christmas.:(  It would be such a depressing month, but Valentine's Day falls at the perfect time of year. I love this holiday maybe as much as I do Christmas! I have a list of things I want to make for V-Day and here is the start of that list.....

Cupcakes!

A few days ago I got really bored and decided to bake some cupcakes. I have been wanting to make red velvet cupcakes for awhile so I got on the internet in search of some good recipes. There were ton of them and I couldn't decide on what one I wanted to try. Call me crazy...I made all 3 recipes and had a little taste test! I was surprised at how different they all tasted, but I still wasn't too impressed with any of them. I am super picky when it comes to red velvet cake! So if any of you have a yummy recipe, send it my way!

October

Fall is my favorite time of year and this is the first year in a long time, that I was actually able to enjoy it!  It has been a crazy month for sure...I left my job of 6 1/2 years and it is the best thing that could have happened! Being around negativity, gossip, and backstabbing all day, every day, was really hard to deal with! I didn't realize how bad it was until I was out and I couldn't be happier now. Of course I will miss a lot of people that I worked with...you know who you are and you BETTER keep in contact! Things happen for a reason and I am really excited for the change. And so....that is the update of my life right now and here are some fun pictures from this past month.

Pumpkin carving:

Allison's birthday Luau:

I made Allison a fruit pizza and I was proud of myself! Isn't it pretty? Okay, not that pretty, but it was really yummy!:)

Mountains:

Lagoon:  I hadn't been there in years and it's actually not as ghetto as it used to be. (Or maybe it is and we just picked a good day?)

Rusty won a huge puppy for me! :)

It rained almost the whole time and was FREEZING, but we still had a blast!

Halloween:

 Nick, Chels, and I
 Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers

We weren't too creative this year....there is always next year!

My sister, Brooklyn dressed our puppy up like a pumpkin. She hated it more than anything but it was so cute! I hope you all had a great Halloween! :)
